Certification

Certigaz was founded in 2003 and is jointly held by AFAQ AFNOR Certification and AFG. The gas certification activities of both organizations have been combined in Certigaz. It offers its customers to put a CE label on their gas appliances, to manage the NF labeling under mandate of AFAQ AFNOR Certification and to manage ATG labeling on behalf of AFG. Certigaz is licensed according to standard EN 45011 by the section for Certification of Industrial Products of Cofrac. As China office of AFG, BUGET provides service to certify and standardize products and equipments for Chinese enterprises entering international market. The customers could benefit from the certification: product quality assurance and verification; one audit; two certificates.

1. CE marking
CE marking testifies that a product complies with Europe directives.
90-396-CEE directive mainly regulates Gas appliances”:

Cooking stoves,
Heating appliances,
Water heaters (Instantaneous or storage ),
Refrigerating appliances,
Lighting appliances
Washing appliances (Washing and drying machines, dish washes, dry cleaningappliances…),
Safety, controlling and regulating devices and other equipment to beincluded in those appliances,
92-42-CEE for boilers.

2. NF marking

The NF label is the property of AFAQ AFNOR. According to the general regulations of the NF label, Certigaz is mandated by AFAQ AFNOR Certification to manage the label in the gas sector.

NF ROB-GAZ
The label NF ROB-GAZ applies to:

Gas valves for distribution networks which are located upstream the meter,
Valves for gas installations in buildings (residential, commercial)
Butterfly valves for installations with diameters between 40 to 400 mm.

It testifies on compliance with requirements of gas installation regulations in buildings (article 4 of decree dated August 2nd, 1977). It is also recognized by distribution gas network operators.

NF GAZ
The label NF GAZ applies to:
Connecting accessories in gas installations (gas pipes, flexible pipes withrubber or metal power nozzles, quick joint);
LPG accessories (reducing valves for bottles and tanks, lyre joints);

It bears evidence of compliance with requirements of gas installation regulations in buildings (article 4 of decree dated August 2nd, 1977).

NF APE
The label NF APE applies to accessories for polyethylene distribution networks of gas fuels, drinking water, irrigation water and industrial applications:

Electrofusion PE sockets;
Electrofusion saddles;
PE couplings with spigot ends;
Mechanical fittings;
Cocks.

The label NF APE constitutes evidence of compliance to requirements concerning gas installations (article 4 of decree dated August 2nd, 1977). It is also widely recognized by French and foreign network operators who are in turn involved in the labeling Committee.
NF REG-GAZ
At the request of gas distributors and in agreement with the related manufactures, Certigaz is now developing a new NF label applicable to gas pressure regulating devices (regulators or reducing valves) aimed at distribution networks and connections. This project follows the standardization process being completed by BNG. This label will provide the bearers with an acknowledgement of technical compliance and quality of their products and will serve as a technical pre-selection tool for buyers and purchasing advisors. The first certificates should be delivered by the end of June 2006.
